Regular Meeting
The regular monthly meeting of the Rockbridge County School Board will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held at the Rockbridge County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, VA 24450.  School board agendas and other ancillary documents are available through the Rockbridge County Schools BoardDocs Site three days prior to the school board meeting.  PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN MEETING DATE.
                 
Special Meetings
There will be a special meeting of the Rockbridge County School Board on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. for the purpose of Superintendent Search discussion. The meeting will take place at the County of Rockbridge Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, VA. The Board will go into Closed Meeting to discuss personnel issues under Section 2.2-3711 (A) (1). No action is anticipated as a result of the meeting.
      
UPDATE - SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH INFORMATION
Rockbridge County School Board Superintendent Search Interview Process - The Rockbridge County School Board will be conducting interviews for the position of superintendent from March 14-29, 2017. Approved Student Calendar for 2017-18
At the regular school board meeting on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, the Rockbridge County School Board approved a student calendar for the 2017-2018 school year.  A PDF version of this calendar is available HERE.

Information for Snow Bus Routes
Depending on situations and road conditions, Rockbridge County Public Schools may use SNOW ROUTES at times during the winter.  In the event SNOW ROUTES are used, announcements for use will be provided through the Honeywell Instant Alert System, the school division website, and local radio and television stations.  SNOW ROUTE pickup and dropoff points are provided HERE.

Approved Student Calendar for 2016-17
At the regular school board meeting on December 8, 2015, the members of the Rockbridge County School Board approved a student calendar for the 2016-17 school year.  Click HERE for a copy of the calendar.
       
Records Request
Records request should be made by phone (540 463-7386) or in person (at the Central Offices). Please allow five (5) working days for a records request to be fulfilled.
         
Rockbridge County High School graduates from the Classes of 2010-2016 can request transcripts from Lisa VanRavenswaay in the RCHS Guidance Department.  RCHS Alumni who graduated prior to 2010 can request transcripts from Bernadette Crews at the Rockbridge County Schools Central Office by phone (540-463-7386) or in person.  Current seniors (Class of 2017) and their parents can use Parchment, the leader in eTranscript exchange, to send high school transcripts electronically, securely and confidentially, all with real-time tracking.  Please see Rockbridge County High School website:

Each public high school in the Commonwealth is required to provide annual notice of the availability of postsecondary education and employment data published by the State Council of Higher Education.
        
RCS Adult Basic Education Program
Our consortium provides area adults with a safe, comfortable place to earn the skills needed to be successful at work, at home, and in the community. Our dedicated staff provides a variety of educational settings where all adults can learn and further their education. Our classes are free of charge and open to all who wish to attend. Per Pupil Expenditure Estimate
Section 22.1-92 of the Code of Virginia requires that each division superintendent prepare and distribute per pupil expenditure estimates parents of children in the school division.  These estimates include all phases of instruction, administration, transportation, operations and maintenance, and food service.
